Our Support Pathways

We deliver personalised, adaptive interventions to form the foundation and preliminary steps for young people who are currently struggling to attend school or present with Emotion Based School Avoidance (EBSA).

All Pathways Include

A Firm Foundation to Build On

The  foundational elements of Understand, Identify & Equip. (See ‘Our Approach’ for more information).

Drawing on trauma-informed practice, we work with those we are supporting to build an understanding of their experiences and how these relate to their strengths and needs. We then work together, at a pace and in a manner that is agreed with the young people, to support them to achieve their goals.

All packages include:

  • Initial meeting/assessment with family and young person, and education settings.
  • Production of resources to support young person’s understanding and information retention (e.g. visual supports, social stories, information leaflets, summary reports).
  • Block of sessions of direct work with the young person and their parent/carer. Number and frequency determined through discussion and agreement following initial meeting/assessment.
  • Attendance at relevant meetings during involvement including Child in Need, Early Help, IEP, EHC Annual Review Meetings.
  • Session feedback to commissioning setting.
  • Summary report and advices on completion of intervention
