Support for Emotion Based School Avoidance (EBSA), Wellbeing and Engagement.
We deliver personalised, adaptive interventions to form the foundation and preliminary steps for young people who are currently struggling to attend school or present with Emotion Based School Avoidance (EBSA).
The foundational elements of Understand, Identify & Equip. (See ‘Our Approach’ for more information).
Drawing on trauma-informed practice, we work with those we are supporting to build an understanding of their experiences and how these relate to their strengths and needs. We then work together, at a pace and in a manner that is agreed with the young people, to support them to achieve their goals.
All packages include:
Personalised, adaptive interventions to build on the young person’s social skills and/or emotional literacy and self-regulation.
Prepare young people to reintegrate into their existing setting after a time out of education, or to support transition to a new setting.
Support young people to recognise their strengths and challenges and, where appropriate, how these link to their diagnoses.
Building skills to access the local community, including travel training , shopping, and how to access support services.
